Investment in training to maximise sales

Maxima Training and Development, specialists in motivational business development, introduce the “Maximising Sales 2010”series of workshops for hotel and meeting venues.

The start of the new decade has seen a new air of optimism amongst operators in the hospitality industry. Having survived the 2008/2009 recession, many are predicting an improvement in 2010, with hotels reporting a year-on-year increase in bookings. There are many exciting opportunities ahead, with the 2012 Games just one area in which the industry can capitalise on. But although there may be signs of the promised “green shoots of recovery”, there are still tough times ahead. To meet these challenges and in response to clients’ needs, Maxima Training and Development have introduced the “Maximising Sales 2010” series of dynamic and motivational workshops.

In response to customer demands, Maxima have launched the series of workshops designed specifically for hotels and meeting venues, and will run at London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh, beginning in London on the 26th March. They will focus on practical action that can be implemented to maximise sales in 2010, and will be packed with ideas and real industry examples of best practices from around the world. During the workshops, participants will self audit their own operation, with a view to identifying where positive improvements can take place.

Maxima have also recently formed a partnership with the MIA (Meetings Industry Association), to run the The MIA Learning and Development Academy training courses. These will cover topics ranging from sales negotiation skills to maximising profitable business from wedding enquiries.
